We are receiving updates daily from our participating squadrons around the country, and where there is no CAP unit available, from other volunteering civic groups. In total, there are over 230 State and National veterans cemeteries, and veterans monuments across the country. Our goal is to do as much as we can, at all locations in 2007 - but we need help from volunteers in each local area. Please check back and visit your State, or contact our HQ if you have a question about a specific location.

Regarding wreath placement?
Prior to the wreath-laying ceremonies, cemetery administrative personnel give participants specific instructions regarding placement of wreaths. In most state/national cemeteries, participants are instructed to place wreaths only on graves bearing the Christian cross or nondenominational graves. Both the Arlington Wreath Project and Wreaths Across America profess no political or religious agenda - but rather wish to remember and honor our veterans during the holidays - a time of traditional family gatherings - and teach our children that we are able to do so, in peace, because of the many sacrifices made by our military men and women.
