The Wreath Laying Ceremony Fort Indiantown Gap, PA 2006

by Pam Adams

Laying of the Wreaths

Laying of the Wreaths

In 2006, I was asked by this wonderful group to participate in this event and lay a wreath in honor and memory of all our service men and women who gave their all for our country by laying a wreath at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA.

All wreaths were placed today at 12:00 noon in all states following a moment of silence and a small
ceremony to remember all our veterans.

Having lost our own son (my stepson) 12/1/05, this day was yet another testimony to the fact that so many people will always remember and never forget this courageous men and women. That they will be remembered by not only those who knew them but by the vast number of American people who did not, but will hold them in their hearts forever.

I cannot express how both humbled and honored I felt that day as I laid down that wreath. As I walked the short distance to lay this wreath I thought about so many things, so many people, so many lives. It is an experience that has left it's mark on me forever and I am grateful to the men and women to donate so much of their time and energy to make this event happen every year.

I know I speak for all families who have lost
sons and daughters to this was as well as any war, when I say it means everything to know our sons and daughters will truly be remembered always.

In loving memory of all our servicemen and women
Pam Adams (SFC Brent A. Adams)
